Health and Wellness Coach

Many of our clients have a desire to work on their physical health in addition to their mental health. We work closely with Mary Carey Chance, RN CPT-CES to facilitate those services for our clients.

Mary Carey Chance, RN CPT-CES

My experience includes over a decade working as a registered nurse in acute care before finding my niche away from the bedside doing health coaching and fitness training. My background benefits my each client uniquely. I provide professional insight to medically complex clients with factors such as obesity, chronic pain, hormonal and metabolic disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure, muscle imbalances, orthopedic surgery history and sports injuries. My style of training is heavy on growing knowledge in order to safely continue a lifetime of healthy habits. I educate clients not only on on proper exercise form and optimal body mechanics, but also behavior modification and healthy lifestyle choices to meet their individual goals.

I'm married and have two beautiful daughters and a Great Dane. I love to do anything outdoors, especially gardening. I grew up on a farm, but these days I'm a city girl so I enjoy working in my flowerbeds. I freaking love plants: growing them, talking about them, looking at them, shopping for them… they just make me happy. My other hobbies include text messaging between carpool lines and bribing my family into doing the chores. I am passionate about health science. I love to read evidence-based studies in the relative quiet of my bathroom, as well as true crime, fantasy, sci-fi and anything involving magic.
